For drying of solvent or water based UV inks Comec Italia has set the UV300 ULTRAVIOLET oven. It is a device that provides high quality performance, compact and equipped with black Teflon coated tape with an adjustable speed up to 18 m per minute, and therefore allows the polymerisation of inks that require up to 2000 mj/cm². The tunnel allows at standard height the passage of up to 15 cm tall objects; the height can, however, vary on demand. The lamp used is a mercury lamp with power up to 300WPI, with height adjuster. It is also provided with independent wheels and can therefore be easily moved for every need and with a suction fan connectable to fumes filtering devices present in the space in which it is placed. With simple commands you can control power and lamp intensity and verify its remaining life. The advantages of the UV polymerization are many: absence of solvent exhalations, versatility of application, no influence of the degree of absorbency of the printed media, but above an almost instant drying.
